                                BIO


Kristina is a versatile singer who flourishes in baroque repertoire and oratorio, as well as opera. She has been a soloist in works such as Vivaldi's Gloria, Charpentier's Te Deum (sop II), and Handel's Messiah (pt. 1). In opera, Archer has appeared as Susanna in a production of Le Nozze di Figaro with the Ensemble Orquesta Academy and the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra. In the coming season, she will appear as Frantík/Woodpecker in The Cunning Little Vixen by Janáček. She has performed with her own Ensemble PAX at the Christmas Concert of The Czech Embassy, as well as the Fringe programme of the Utrecht Early Music Festival. As an ensemble and choir singer, Kristina regularly sings with Studium Chorale, Golden Circle Ensemble, and Dutch Baroque Choir. She has performed under the baton of Ed Spanjaard, John Bakker, Gerard de Wit, and Hans Leenders.

 During her studies, Kristina has sung in projects under conductors such as Daniel Reuss and Gregory Charette, collaborating with Capella Amsterdam, the Orchestra of The 18th Century, and Orkest de Ereprijs. She has taken part in operas such as L´Euridice by Jacopo Peri and La liberazione di Ruggiero by Francesca Caccini, directed by Michael Chance.

The Czech-British soprano started her musical education at the age of 6, studying recorder and piano. In 2011, she became a chorister at Lincoln Cathedral, where she initially pursued her love and passion for choral music. She started studying flute at the age of 11. After attending the International Summer School of Early Music in Valtice, she knew that Early Music spoke to her the most. Kristina pursued her vocal studies with Christina Kluge-Mrazkova at the selective Music Secondary School of Prague and has recently finished her bachelor studies in Early and Classical singing under Rita Dams, Catrin Wyn-Davies, Pascal Bertin, Robin Blaze, and Peter Kooij, as of July 2024.
